Cyclocosmia is a symphonic doom metal band and art project based in London, UK, but with contributors from all over the world. Founded as a solo project by musician and producer James Scott in 2011, we have since grown to encompass art, film, and a number of musical partnerships. We have collaborated with guest artists and musicians from three continents and released our first full-length album, "Deadwood", in 2016. We will be releasing an EP entitled "Immured" around the turn of 2017.
Cyclocosmia's work deliberately explores themes relating to the darker side of the human psyche - negative emotions, mental illness and loss of control. We do this because we believe that these things need to be discussed and confronted if they are to be overcome, but that it can often be too painful to discuss them directly. By expressing them through music and art, we hope to be able to help others to be able to discuss and confront their problems.
We have always sought to be "more than a band", and we have a film director and art director as permanent members of Cyclocosmia. In particular, we welcome contributions in all areas from our friends and our fans, so that you can be a part of what we are doing. If you want to contribute to any area of what we do, contact us.
